Job Description Job Description We are North Shore Medical
Center Nights Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing,
medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis,
under physician-directed care and RN supervision. We service a
multitude of patients and their families across our vast network,
while remaining committed to the professional development of our
staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the

insurance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Collects data and collaborates
with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing
acute psychiatric crises. Facilitates the implementation of nursing
care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated. Monitors
safety of patients and the environment of care. Fosters a safe and
nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive
interactions amongst patients. Educates patients on interpersonal
and self-care skills. Assists patients with activities of daily
living. Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups.
Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and
reacts promptly. Communicates patient care observations and safety
concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS Constant use of speech to share information through
oral communication. Constant standing and walking. Frequent
lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry. Frequent
use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or
less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish
colors. Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Frequent
use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body
sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing
25-50 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving of patients. Occasional
bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and
repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Education &
Requirements Current Florida RN License Prefer 1 year of Behavioral
Health RN Prefer 1 year of Supervisory RN responsibilities Ability
