Summary And QualificationsThe registered professional nurse is
responsible for the admission and care of ill newborns into the
Level 2 NICU through the process of assessment, diagnosis,
planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the
registered professional nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates,
supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the
ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of
professional nursing.What qualifications you will need:
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized
Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements,
including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration
provisions)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must
be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be
obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Current STABLE certification or must be obtained within 60
months of employment start date
- 1-3 years of NICU experienceHCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a
488-bed facility. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and
offer a wide range of medical specialties. These specialties
include emergency care, heart, and vascular care. We are designated
by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Other
specialties include maternity and neonatal care. We are a Level II
NICU hospital. HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is CARF accredited for
inpatient rehabilitation. Our facility offers a Comprehensive
Community Cancer Program. This program is accredited by the
American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. We are
affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare Division. HCA Florida Mercy
